October 16, 200322 yr Hi sorry but I cant help you as I have the exact same problem and I have had a message in the other forum for hardware ect for over a week now with no replys at all so it seems no one knows what causes this hope you get an answer regards Michael
October 16, 200322 yr The answer to the first question is new drivers. Start with the 45.20s and see if that fixes it. (I think it probalbly will). If not, try another set of drivers. As to 1--don't know.2.--Is the mobo an 8X AGP type mobo? If not, it should default to 4X which should be just fine.3. Probably depends on the monitor refresh rate--whatever it is capable of.4 and 5.--Experimentation will tell. Try the sim at one setting, notice the performance, and then try another. It takes some fiddling to get it set to the optimum.Darrell
October 16, 200322 yr I have the FX5200 try turning off Anti Aliasing that should cure the problemBruce
October 16, 200322 yr Don't know the cure for your problem, but I'm running an FX5600 with the 45.23 drivers. Before that I ran the 43.03 drivers with no problem.
October 16, 200322 yr Try the following method, it may help. Go to "Start", "Run" and type in MSINFO32 and enter. After a while, a System Information window will open. Select Components and then display. Wait for it to update the info.In the right hand window, look for the following lines:PNP Device ID PCIVEN_10DE&DEV_0173&SUBSYS_00000000&REV_A34&9AEDED5&0&0008Adapter Description NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440Installed Drivers nv4_disp.dllDriver Version 6.13.10.2942The important information in line 1 is the VEN_10DE&DEV_0173 part. Yours will differ from this example, but the 10DE indicates the manufacturer and the 0173 indicates the model number.Open your display.cfg (after backing it up first) in the root directory of FS. Construct the following lines containing your information as in MSINFO32 and paste it into the display.cfg file.;----------------------------------------------------------------------; NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440;----------------------------------------------------------------------[000010DE:00000173:nv4_disp.dll]PanelAsTexture=0[000010DE:00000173:nv4_disp.dll.1]MinDriverRev=6.13.10.2942PanelAsTexture=2RegardsJohan
