Could someone explain to me the purpose of the "Use Local Range Suppression" checkbox option and the "Suppression Ceiling ft(MSL) feature in the General Options Tab? I'm using FSX SP2 with the registered version of FSUIPC. Thanks.Bob

Hi,#1 prevents data from being updated around your plane just because AS downloads new weather and that weather is different than what is being used before the download. Yes weather will still change, but not because of the new download.#2. That is now going to attempt to use the ground visibility value until you reach that assigned altitude in FS.
