October 16, 200322 yr A couple of questions if you could help:What is this AGP8x that the new FX cards come with? What does it do?Where do you see in your DISPLAY PROPERTIES that it's been used?Where do you set it?I've read some posts to disable AGP in Directx - should I or not?The line - TextureAGP=0 - should be added to the DISPLAY setting in FS9.cfg ... does it got to do with the AGP8x or not? Please help with this.RegardsT
October 16, 200322 yr If the graphics card runs out of memory, with AGP it does have the option to use your regular RAM.It does not use the regular BUS, but a special faster bus called AGP.the multiplie means how fast it is then the original AGP bus.Right now 8xAGP is the fastest. On ATI cards you can see it under Smart Gear. not sure about nvidia.About the TextureAGP, just try it and see if you getting improved perforamance or not.
