October 17, 200322 yr I just recently got a new joystick the cyborg evo, its a good stick no problems at all with it. But I've been flying by keyboard...So the transition to stick is a bit interesting to say the least what I cant seem to do is figure out the best way to trim to S&L in a reasonable period of time without chasing the VSI like a mad rabbit.I can trim via keyboard fairly well but just the act of holding the stick at the center point and raising up trim till i can release the pressure on the stick is not happening fast.Any tips?
October 17, 200322 yr Yes, assign two keys to trim up and trim down on the keyboard. FS detects the keypress and adjusts the RATE of trim adjustment. Quick press = small trim adjustment, press & hold = big, quick adjustment. For some reason, this does not extend to yoke or stick assignments, so if you trust your keyboard trim to do `coarse` adjustment and leave your stick trim to do fine adjustment, you should be fine. Pretty similar to some real aircraft setups, actually.Allcott
