Posky A330 V1/2 causing ground BLURIES!!!!

Featured Replies

HiI've d/l both versions of the A330-200 recently, version 1 in FS9 caused the whole ground beneath and my Gatwick scenery to go totally blury, and staying blury.I've just d/l version 2, hoping it would fix the problem, but nope :(It's has excellent model and visuals but this blury problem has got to be the worst I've ever had. No other 3rd party or Payware a/c (inc. PMDG 737) does this. I think it could be down to the type of BMP's being used, maybe it needs to be converted into another format? Is anyone else having these problems, because with the current situation, I'm just leaving this A330 alone? My spec:Athlon 2100XPGf3 Ti 500512MB 2700DDR RAM60GBSB Live PlatinumCheershttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/36133.jpg

Realism and good looks sure does come at a price eh? :-)

I think you should explain your rationale on this one.The Posky A330s do not install anything that would affect your ground textures. I'm using it, and have a much lower end system than you do, and I'm not having any issues at all while using it. Especially with the non-VC version just released. The only thing I can think of that would cause that is if you did not have your frame rate locked. What I mean by that is that FS sets aside a certain level of processor power for the various actions taking place - the way it's been explained is that the frame rate lock limits the ammount of processor power diverted to providing you top level frame rates. Normally the processor would do it's best to provide you the highest level of FPS placing everything else such as terrain updating, ATC, etc lower in priority to maintain the highest FPS possible. Locking the FPS will allow the processor to be diverted to these other tasks. Thus preventing the blurries. Now this could have changed in FS2004 - but in FS2002, blurries were caused if there wasn't enough processor cycles left to update the terrain as you flew to new areas.Perhaps that's something you should look into. As a side effect, the Posky A330s may indeed be causing your blurries, but not because of the aircraft itself - but more because the processor cycles are being diverted from terrain updating more than anything. I suggest lowering your FPS lock to around 20. It provide smooth FPS and leaves enough processor cycles to keep the terrain updates smooth.
