November 22, 201015 yr Hi all,i'm just reading for the second time my (very) big System Manual during the long flights aboard of this beauty of the sky (along with the FMS and the FCOM).Reading the Air Conditioning and Pressurization part I encountered two phrases that turned on my doubts.1) AIR.10.9: "In automatic control, the CPCs: prepressurize to about 100 feet below T/O field elevation when slats are extended." I never see if this is real in the PMDG's beast. In the last two flight i control the behavior of the two CPCs to see if they pressurize the aircraft to the 100ft below aifield, but i see only a small change in the cabin altitude in the AIR Synoptyc page, obviously when i extend the slats taxing to the active RWY.2) AIR.10.10: "...Schedule cabin to be at 8.6 psi, or less, higher pressure ambient during cruise..." I always watch out for that but i always encountered a cabin differential pressure of 8.7 in each flight. Sometimes it changed going to 8.8 or 8.6 but then it returns to 8.7 and ramains stable for all the flights. So, i'm questioning myself, is it a small bug or is it the real functioning of the system?Maybe i'm only too picky..., but this aircraft fells so "real" that i want to know...Thanks for any answer,Paolo Fumagalli Paolo Fumagalli "Everyday is a new flight, with new system to learn, new failures to prevent and new database to update..."
November 23, 201015 yr Author It's me again...Just flying overdose the bahamas, pointing to TJSJ...At the departure At KMEM the aircraft pressurize itself slowly to 100ft bella fiele elev, so i confirm that it works good with the slats extended...;)And about the differential presente is now stable on 8.6psi as expected to be, so It's good after the 8.7 And 8.8 values reached in the last flights...Cheers,Paolo Fumagalli Paolo Fumagalli "Everyday is a new flight, with new system to learn, new failures to prevent and new database to update..."
