October 20, 200322 yr I have a weird problem. Slowly but surely over time I'm developing a significant stutter in the game. It started as a slight hesitation now it lasts as long as 4 sec. It gets really bad when im in the default cockpit( not vc) and pan around or when outside ac and look around. Any ideas? settings are mid range to lowest.sys specs2.53 P41 gb hdAudigy 2 zsFx 5600 ultra 256mb52.13 drvrscomp only used for fs.
October 22, 200322 yr I had a similar problem a while ago. I installed the darker sky color and for some reason, I can't totally blame it on that but since I have removed it I don't seem to have problems. It would do that inside the cockpit and the first plane I noticed it with was the Kingair 350. So I thought it was that aircraft but it turned out to be other planes as well. So I closed down the program and went back into it and found out that I had no sound. I tried to turn up the volume but no luck. I could restart the computer and the sound and the sim was normal for a little while.
October 22, 200322 yr Yea, but I got sound great sound actually this started way before I put in the new sound card.I'm wondering if its the graphic driver?
October 22, 200322 yr Have you installed the sky textures by Usako Omoto? I just think it could be causing your problems. If you have it try to remove it and see what happens. I hope you had made a backup of your fs9/texture folder so you could go back to your original. Hope this helps and I hope you resolve your issues.
October 23, 200322 yr I have T&L on. I did back up the original texture folder Ill try it in the morn. let you know
October 23, 200322 yr For no obvious reason mine developed a vaguely similar problem. It would stutter every 1.3 seconds, regular as clockwork. This is how I fixed it.1. Move the fs9.cfg file to a temporary location.2. Run FS - as there is no fs9.cfg FS creates a default one.3. Exit FS and move back the original fs9.cfg, overwriting the one FS created. Result: no stutter! The curious thing is that I end up with precisely the same cfg. I think when FS creates a new cfg it also resets other settings that are stored elsewhere. After a few sessions the stutter would return, so I had to do this every few days. But now (touch wood!) the stutter seems to have vanished, with no sign of it for the last couple of weeks. Very strange.... Anyway, it's definitely worth trying this, you never know! Best regards, Chris
