Right now I am flying mostly on VATSIM, but most of the times not all controllers are there, many leave before I get to the dest airport etc.I was wondering how flying with Ultimate Traffic and Radar Contact compares to VATSIM?What do you enjoy more and which will be more realistic?Thanks.

well Hi there from Glasgow ,Ive just posted a message on here about Connecting to VATSIm and using sb and Ultimate Traffic togetehr that way you can use Voice when the ATC is available and also see very kewl smooth taxing and everythign else but with Ultimate traffic. He told me to search for this on here as there is a way you can use both but without connecting to the FS2002 Multiplayer.Im gonna look into it.I enjoy online flying too and the ATC IS great when available. I stick to short flights within the Uk and Europe but hopefully if I find soemthing on my topic then I can fly online and still have Ultimate Traffic in the back groundJuan Garcia-Mendez

ahh you see Ive got SBRELAY RUNNING. tHAT program I think only is in use for FS2004 so that you can connect to the multiplayer. I always use that when online but the traffic still disapears... Unless it doesnt for you.Can you still see AI tRAFFIC WHEN USING SB RELAY and connected to vatsim ??Juan

I am still using FS2002 so my knowledge is not first hand.But an FS2004 user told me explicitly that using SBRelay while connected to the VATSIM network, he can enjoy AI Traffic when no VATSIM ATC is online where he happens to fly, and quickly drop the AI Traffic and connect to the VATSIM controller, when one pops up in the area, without having to disconnect from Squawkbox and reconnect.Stamatis

STAMATIS Thankyou for the replyThe thing is I wanted Ultimate Traffic ie AI Traffic to fly whether or not theres ATC or not. Like I said before usually theres only about 3 or 4 online Aircraft within my like... 20 miles radius if that and therefore was hoping I would still see my default FS2004 or even better Ultimate Traffic flying about.My personal experince of verbal ONLINE atc via VATSIM is fantastic however the VISUAL representation of this is lacking a greta deal. Aircraft are ALWAYS very jumpy. I prefer the visual smooth aircraft that fly via Ultimate Traffic or lets say AI Traffic.Unfortuneatly I always have to connect with SB RELAY otherwise Squuarwk Box Doesnt work and therefore I cannot connect. But someone told me that there was away around it. Its just a case of taking possibly a whole day to achieve this within a search on AVSIM. Ive posted this message in various places so hopefully someone is wanting the same as me.Like I said before maybe I want too much and within a year or so it will be possible. I guess its EITHER online flying with fanatstic realistic ATC ... orNO ONLINE flying and dodgy representations of aircraft jumping here there and every where or ... stick to OFFLINE ATC via RADRA CONATACT or the default FS2004 ATC. Do not have SB connect to Multiplayer. You don't have to if you do not want to.Connecting to VATSIM without connecting to a Multiplayer session achieves what you want. There is an option box in the initial screen of Squawkbox, that if you leave unticked will connect you to SB without connecting you to a MP session.This way you can be seen and you can contact the ATC controllers online, while at the same time you will see the AI Traffic.Drawback is that the Controllers are not aware of that traffic when vectoring you.Stamatis
