December 13, 201015 yr Hi, I recently built a new i5 quad core sustem to run FSX (it's been a long, long wait). Obviously it was a clean install and all went well until I started loading a few addons. Now only the default FSX aircraft have skins. All the addon aircraft and all traffic have no panels or skins and I don't know how to roll back without doing a new install which would be time consuming. It seems to have happened I loaded the free ORBX traffic but can't be sure. I loaded a few more addon aircraft and they don't have skins either. Given a potential failure with the free ORBX traffic I bought My Traffic X but that hasn't fixed the skins of the traffix either. So far I have installded;- FSX Deluxe Edition- Acceleration- ORBX Australia SP3- a number of ORBX airports- a number of FSX addon aircraft (PBY Catalina & Constellation etc.)- FTX freeware AI trafficand now..- My Traffic XWhere do I start or do I need to do a new install/ repair? Thanks

Is DX10 Preview turned on? Aircraft textures not made for FSX will not show with DX10 preview (in many cases). Same with addon scenery. Make sure the Scenery Library has the ORBX airports/scenery installed. Check layers in the scenery library putting the airports ABOVE ORBX Australia. Double check your aircraft installation. Just a small error in the aircraft.cfg for each addon aircraft can create many issues, like textures not showing or panels. Is there a panel.cfg with panel gauges in the panel folder? You shouldn't have to reinstall FSX/Acceleration as everything works okay with the default aircraft/scenery. It's the addon stuff you can disable in the Scenery Library first to see if that is causing your problem. You can also try deleting the fsx.cfg and letting the cfg rebuild. A lot of issues are fixed this way as many people tweak their settings too much or add tweaks that mess up the whole sim. I hope you have already checked out the FTX/Orbx forums as they provide a wealth of suggestions for proper setup and fixes for their software. Hope this helps.Best regards,Jim

Some of your suggestions I had tried already but hadn't gone down to file level. I'll keep working through them and see how it goes. Thanks again.Regards,Brett
