October 26, 200322 yr I have this a/c installed and working in FS9, however 2 things gripe me, both probably due to resolution.Firstly when the a/c loads all the panels are show up on the screen at once covering the whole cockpit area.Secondly the fonts are very small and virtually illegible.I think that the plane is optimised for 1024x768 resolution so this could explain the above factors, but does anyone else have this problem and if so is there some kind of fix for this apart from lowering my screen res.I am operating at 1162x864 res.Any help/comments on this would be appreciated.Chris
October 26, 200322 yr Go here http://www.fscentre.com/dash8/ look in forum. There is a resolution fix and a panel cfg with click spots for sub panels. You may have to combine the two for both fixes.
October 26, 200322 yr YES!! Don't let the resolution deter you from this fantastic plane. There are a couple of "fixes" for the resolutin on the panel. There are some numbers provided by Gord Noseworthy that work fantastic. Also, the clickable hotspots work great. To get the panels to not show, just go into the panel.cfg and change the show at startup from 1 to 0 for the panels you don't want to come up. I always start out with the overhead and engine controls up.The support forum for the Dash 8 is very robust, the designer is usually online and answers questions very quickly. Better support than nearly every payware company I'd say.
October 26, 200322 yr Thanks for the replies guys..I've gone to the DASH 8 forum and asked "The Boss".As this is probably quite a big problem, it may be a good idea if the put the answers in their FAQ.
