October 28, 200322 yr Hi all,Anyone know if it's possible to convert a recorded flight into an .avi or mov. or whatever file for display on systems which don't have fs9 loaded on them.Tim
October 29, 200322 yr The only really effective method I've seen is a programme called FRAPS:http://www.fraps.com/It records files straight from OpenGL or DirectX games into a movie. There may be other methods out there, but that's the only one I know of.Simon.

Two methods are available, first you can record the output from your video card and then bring it back in -- this requires at least a video card with video output/input.The second way, which is simpler but does require a fairly grunty system, is to use FRAPS which is mentioned in another reply.I've been experimenting with FRAPS, and it really is an incredible little utility. There's a short FRAPS movie on my site:http://www.windowlight.co.nz/ontarget/video.htmlThis is about 2.5MB, but it is a lot smaller than the FRAPS recording -- about half a gigabyte a minute :)
