January 4, 201115 yr I´m new to mesh creation, but I need to modify the mesh for Faroe Islands, only in some small places to get the correct elevation for some gmax buildings. Gmax is not the correct tool, I want to modify the mesh in an other way if possible. Any advice?? And what tool to use?
January 5, 201115 yr Is this for FSX or FS9? If FSX, then I would recommend using SBuilderX to create flattens for the areas where you wish to place the buildings. SBX will allow you to make a flat flatten or a sloped flatten or a flat/sloped flatten. Well, you get the idea.To "modify the mesh" would entail having the source material to run through the Resample compiler and editing each and every data point within the area you want to place buildings in. It *can* be done, but highly tedious and it sounds as if flattening polygons will do what you're after?
January 5, 201115 yr Not realy. I want to chance some hightcurves to bigger in local areas, så buildings will be represented in the correct view. So it seems to be the hard way. And it is for the Faroe Island in FSX.
January 24, 201115 yr I came accross this...North Atlantic terrain for SFX..includes Iceland, Greenland, and Faroes.http://www.fsgenesis.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=NATLDEM-X&Category_Code=
