I have downloaded a utility that allows the 'Reversers Unlocked' lights to come on. The only problem it I don't know what they are for. What do you have to do with the airpplane to make tham go on? (I have FS2004.

Those are thrust reversers, which slow you down instead of accelerate.Simply press F2 until the throttles are in reverse position. This usually works with default jets.
