After creating and loading a Flight Plan while en route I may want to change the destination. ATC allows me to do that by bringing me back to the Flight Plan facility. After choosing the new destination is it correct that I then create a second Flight Plan, save it and load the new plan?

Yes create just as you did the first one. BUT MAKE SURE that when you get the pop-up window asking do you want to realocate to begining of flight plan, you CLICK NO, other wise you will find yourself on the ground and the starting point of the flight plan.After you create the new flight plan and you are back in the aircraft, upon opening the ATC window you will have the option to request new IFR destination.
