March 4, 201115 yr Yesterday flying out of Tofino, B.C. (CYAZ) at about 08:30 (local), the METAR included Bkn023CB. I have the suppress thunderstorm switch selected to ON meaning that even with a report of CB's in the area, thunderstorms should not occur. However, I was getting a fairly "healthy" dose of lightning and thunder throughout the flight. I checked into the manual to see if I had another switch/option activated that might override that switch but couldn't find anything. Is there something I'm missing here, and if not, can you tell me what info you need to investigate this please?FSX, ASE (latest updates), Windows7-64, 4 GB RAMThanks!
March 4, 201115 yr Hi,Station METAR and if interpolated, the station data from the 4 actual data stations being used. It could be the same type of issue that caused the rain/snow problem.
March 4, 201115 yr OK, I'll get that on next instance. I was also reading another post somewhere here regarding another issue that suggested an FSUIPC switch may have been overriding ASE, so I'll check for that as well. Thanks Jim.
