Few days that i cant run my memory at 1006mhz anymore...any idea?

Hi all my pc is:- Q9650- Asus Maximus 2 Formula- Corsair 2x2gb 8500 1066mhznote1. at default the motherboard automatically select 800 instead of 1066 ( i rmb before selected 1066)note2. if i set 1066mhz v2.1 5-5-5-15 or even at Auto timings the pc crash (blue of death)what i shoul do? ram damage? motherboard problem?

When you select the default or change things in your bios, do you save your settings first then shutdown? Have you ran the memory diagnostics program? The fact the bios only "sees" 800 may indicate you have a dimm damaged. If you haven't already I would download the blue screen viewer (Google) and it will tell you instantly what drivers caused the BSODs. Sorry I can't help with the timing.Best regards,Jim

maybe a DIMM damaged?coz at 800mhz the pc never reboot. really strange. ive always used the 1066 frequency since the beginning.so if i have to RMA the ram i should send them in USA coz not corsair office here in europe,il try a memtest now.thx for yyour reply
