November 18, 200322 yr Maybe it's just my system but the VC panel gauges have a glare that makes them hard to read. If I turn off aircraft reflections they are OK. Everything else about the package is terrific. I have the original version and the VC gauges are fine.I'm sure its something minor and if you don't have this little gem go get it.http://windrfters.com/CubFs9a.zipLynn & Bill, thanks for a great little plane.Pepehttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/49053.jpg
November 19, 200322 yr Even if you don't know how to fix it, can someone tell me if they have the same problem so I know its not just something goofy on my system.Pepe
November 20, 200322 yr I know it sounds wild, but are you using a WinXP 'theme?' If so, try using the default WinXP desktop. Here's what I see:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/49232.jpg
November 20, 200322 yr Thanks for the reply.Nope not an XP problem, still using W98SE.Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that the 2D panel. Rhonda isn't there and the view out the front isn't the same. The 2D panel displays fine for me to.Actually I figured out the problem just a few minutes ago and came here to post the solution just in case someone else had the same problem. Turns out it is caused by two files in the aircract texture folder, blacktest.bmp and cubmisc8.bmp. Most likely because of the old GeForce2 graphics card I have and the way it displays the alpha channel, or something. Just guessing because I don't know a heck of a lot about the way FS graphics work, I just looked for textures that had any part of the virtual panel in it. Both of the above textures seem to determine how the reflections are displayed on the VC.OK so to the point, I replaced the two textures with the ones from Lynn & Bill's original Custom Classic Cub file and now all is well. Simple solution just drove me nuts trying to figure it out. Perhaps my hair pulling will not be in vain is this can help someone else.By the way ignore the link in my first post, it no longer works.Just go here and follow the links.http://windrfters.comPepe
