November 20, 200322 yr I was using the stock Denver International scenery and one day, my runway, taxiway and apron scenery just disappeared, all that remained were these funky yellow tracks in the ground where the runway, taxiway and apron scenery had been. I downloaded Harold Krause's cool new KDEN scenery tonight hoping that it would fix the problem but it didn't. All the other airports aorund there such as Centennial and Jeffco have intact runway, taxiway and apron scenery. Anyone know how to get KDEN runways back?Appreciate the help! Thanks Harold K. for another fine scenery, now if I could only get my computer to pave it!Jim [email protected]
November 20, 200322 yr Did you load any AFCAD files for it. Take a look and make sure the runways are listed and with the proper concrete/asphalt.
November 20, 200322 yr I appreciate the tip, I did download and install AF2.KDEN in addon scenery, added it to the scenery library and restarted FS9. Unfortunately, it didn't change anything. Can anyone walk me through how to find out what textures (grass vs. concrete) are being used atDenver [email protected]
November 20, 200322 yr An update on my progress with this issue:I did download Swordly's AFCAD 1.4 but it looks to be for FS 2002 only. Tried it, no joy. Will look for a 2004 version today, would appreciate a [email protected]
November 20, 200322 yr Updating my issue:I got AFCAD2 and looked at the Taxiways for KDEN. They are indeed concrete. So, I remain mystifiedAny thoughts? DoI need to make an exclude file for the area around KDEN?Jim
November 21, 200322 yr First of all, thanks Cargomun for the link. With it I was able to determine that my textures for the runways @ KDEN are set to concrete whereas mos other airports are asphalt. I wonder if my concrete textures are messed up? Looking in the Texture file there are some textures that I can open with neither preview nor paint. Anyone know how I can check or reload the textures without re-installing the whole program?Jim
November 21, 200322 yr When you say you downloaded the bgl and installed it to the scenery library, what did you mean? All you need to do when you get an AFCAD bgl file is put it in the FS9/Addon Scenery/scenery folder and that is it. No other installation to the scenery library is neccesary. Once you start flight sim you should get some message like "Compiling new scenery indexes" or something like that. If you got that and it still looks funny then try moving that .bgl file out of the addon scenery folder, reload flightsim and see if it fixes the problem. If it does then you have definately pinpointed the problem to that .bgl file and not your textures. If you tried all that then let me know and we can try a few more things.
