contrails disappeared

Featured Replies

since i didn't spend too much time on fs9 lately, i thought i might take a break of work, and fly a little.Cruising at high altitude i noticed that somehow no contrails showed up.Wondering if the plane i was flying probably had missing effect files or cfg entries, i tried several others, but also no contrails here. The same with all AI aircraft.I changed the temperature, no effect.I checked the *.fx files, replaced them with originals, no change.Tried flusifix, no change. Then i tried one of the default planes, and suddenly contrails were back. But ONLY with default planes.I found that only the default planes have the line "max_contrail_temperature = -30" in their .cfg.But can this be the reason? I had contrails all the time and did not change anything in any aircraft.cfg.Is this cfg entry really necessary for the contrails to show up?i cant remember that i have installed anything lately, what could have caused this problem.and if yes, what can be the reason that this line has disappeared from EVERY cfg, ecxept from the default ones?If no, what else can be the reason?I really dont want to add ""max_contrail_temperature = -30" to every single aircraft.cfg! Since i'm using a lot of WoAI traffic, this would take me ages.I really hope somebody out there has a clue what else could be the problemregardsmichael
