FS2002 scenery errors, areas that cannot be displayed...

Featured Replies

Hello,I am getting lots of these under a clean install of FS2002 what could be wrong?Thanks.Alex.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/49779.jpg

BUMP!

If this is a clean default installation, with no addons at all, I'm not sure what the problem could be other than you did not install ALL the CDs. I presume you had the sim working all right at one time. :-hmmmIf you made a clean install and then put in some 3rd party addons, you appear to be missing some objects used by one or more of the addons -- usually (but not always) its tree textures, such as Gerrish Grey's trees, because so many scenery addons use those.Other than these suggestions, I can't come up with any other advice.Good luck-Lindy

You did not say what part of the FS world you're getting these errors in....There's two known bugs of this type in FS2002, one of which I fixed and the other fixed by another third party team. The one I fixed dealt with a problem caused by Giants Stadium in NJ, and surfaced at odd times when flying within about a 30,40 mile radius of NYC. The other error is near Stonehenge...This is a link to my original tip on the subject, now hosted at FSGateway.com:http://www.fsgateway.com/tips_read.asp?id=216The link in the tip for the stonehenge fix is dead....Here is the new link:http://www.vfrscenery.co.uk/downloads/vfr_henge_fix.zipHope this helps.... If not, do a reinstall, choosing the full install option.-John
