Hi all I have a problem of freezing/CTD at KSEA. I think it is when I use ASE, after a few minutes the sim just stops dead in it's tracks. On more than one occasion I have run FS2004 without ASE and all is fine, could it be a corrupt texture in my Flight Environment program? I have checked my AI as best I can for that area I.E Hoizon,Alaska for duplicate Air Files and the like and made sure all the textures display OK. When I use ASE any where else I never suffer from this problem.Any IdeasRegardsNic Jackson

Hi,It could be so many things. It could be a bad texture, AI plane/texture, AFCAD.Any error messages?Start by running AI traffic at zero and see what happens.

Hello again My CTD are still occuring I have checked AI, un-installed,re-installed Fly tampa KSEA, reverted back to ASA, ran Flightsim without Alacrity PC to check if any thing in their was causing the problem. Flightsim seems to hang around KMDW too.Ran Filemonitor program with FS2004 in windowed mode it didn't hang, I normally run in full view mode. So I am now back with ASE I have checked event manager and the common recurring error is as follows Generate Activation context failed for C\Program Files\HiFi\ASE\Microsoft Flight Simulator.SimConnect.dll Reference error message: The operation completed successfully. Can some on please explain the above, and does anyone have any ideas?I am running FS2004 Service Pack 9.1, Windows XP 32 BitRegardsNic Jackson

Hi,What did you do to "check AI"? Did you put AI at zero and then fly as you normally would and the CTDs still occurred? Also the message you posted ends with "The operation completed successfully" so that is not it.

Hi Jim Thanks for clearing up the rather cryptic message for me I was just surprised it came up as an error message in the event viewer. I have had a few BSODS and differing error messages,so, maybe it's a hardware problem. With that in mind I have carried out a Mem test on my Ram 4GB, the first test came up with a error. So I have changed Memory sockets and am going through another test to see what happens, I feel that I maybe have been following a few false leads we will see what happens as a result of the ongoing Mem test.As for the AI I flew around for 2 hours with out a hitch, I really need to fly longer because sometimes the freezing occurs after a few miutes or after a couple of hours, with the majority of time the screen just freezing, a few times with FS9 error messages. Thanks for your on going help and advice.regardsNic Jackson
