November 25, 200322 yr I have not seen anything posted about this one:You load an IFR flight plan which has, say, a 12,000 planned altitude. You receive your clearance and depart. During your climb, before reaching 6000, you ask and receive clearance for 6000. You fly along for 30 minutes at 6000 with no complaints from ATC. Approaching your destination, your are vectored for the appropriate ILS approach. You choose "standby", and request a published ILS approach via a published transition point, to the same runway. The controller clears you.Immediately thereafter, you are requested to climb to the original 12,000 feet. Your ATC menu no longer has any options to request another altitude, and there appears to be no way to remain at 6000 and in compliance with ATC at the same time.Art
