What Hardware to upgrade?

Featured Replies

Sirs,I would like to know what hardware I should upgrade to increase the frame rates and fluidity of flightsim 2004 most cost effectively. My current system is;AN7N8X DeluxeAMD XP2400+ (2.00 GHz)512MB of RAMASUS FX5800I think my current setup is pretty good but I'm not 100% happy with how flightsim runs at the moment. To get smoothness my sliders are all mid settings, when I run into addon scenery and weather with a complex aircraft the sim stutters. Any advice taken onboard.Paul

well, u've got a good processor, and mobo[mines A7V8X]] might try another stick of ram. i'[email protected] and fs2002 runs smooth with all i candy, full AI [with custom flights ] my card is a gf4MX440 [i KNOW!] but i'm not gonna sink any more $ 4 now. tried fs9 and it was REAL choppy, while 2k2 is/was fine. lucky 4 me it had a disc with corrupted scenery files 4 the pacific NW so i got my$ back. try the usual system tweaks, make a "test" flight that u can use as a benchmark. tt
