Just have a little dumb question....When you take off do you max throttle and bypass normal MP.. (manifold Pressure). Ie. Cessna 340 has a MP guage with a green normal band for the MP up to 34" but on full throttle, but with opened throttles it will go up to 38". My under standing is that you open up full till postive rate of climb then throttle back to normal MP limits after established climb.Thanks for any help.JustinCYXE

What you really need to do for any aircraft is what the POH - Pilot's Operating Handbook says.You have these different engine power settings to play with:

1. Idle
2. Maximum Rated Power
3. Take-Off
4. METO Power (Maximum Except Take-Off)
5. Climb Power
6. Cruise Power
7. Economy Cruise (Lean Mixture)

Every aircraft is different, so if you want to fly an aircraft by the book (in sim or for real)... yo need to read the book: Check the documentation available from the Add-On designer, or try to find the real manual on the web for free or from www.eflightmanuals.com Cheers,- jahman.
