December 14, 200322 yr Is there a way to tone down the windshear that occurs when flying from one station to another. You know the one that goes from 030 at 10 to 210 @ 20 in a nano-second and rips the wings off....Egads, I've seen the 'OVERSTRESS' message and had to re-start my flight just one time too many...I use FS Meteo and have the registered version of FSUIPC and set the wind smoothing function to 1 knot/10 degrees every thirty seconds but it doesn't seem to have any effect. It does the same thing with the in-built download of real world winds aloft.Any help will be much appreciated.BobL
December 15, 200322 yr Save a copy of your original FS9.CFG before making any changes. You may find another set of numbers works better for you. I'd suggest just staying under the 1.0 value for decreased turbulence. The change below worked great in FS2002 and seems to work equally well in FS9.FS9.CFGUnder the Heading "Weather" <----(in brackets)TurbulenceScale=1.000000 change to TurbulenceScale=0.200000
