FS2002 is ignoring my PC Ugrade !!!

Featured Replies

Hi AllI'm not totally sure what's happening here, but i've just upgraded my PC from an XP2200+ / GeForce 3 Ti200 system to an Intel 3.06MHz / Radeon 9600Pro system (see signature). Benchmarks using 3DMark2001 show a good improvement - from 7800 to 14600.Good news i thought. However, with FS2002 loaded and configured exactly as the old system and both systems running the same pre-saved scenario, the new machine shows absolutely no improvement in frame rate what so ever !!! Both machines are using 2x AA and 2x AF. I think i'm correct in stating that 3DMark2001, like FS2002 is a directx application. Hence, if there's a good improvement there, i can't see why this isn't reflected in FS2002.I Know 3DMark2001 isn't the be all and end all, but i always thought that its results were "generally" reflected in FS.Have i missed something here ??? Any help what so ever would be appreciated as i'm now feeling slightly "unhappy"Gary
