Featured Replies

Hello to everybodyIt is now 3 times that I reinstall FS, windows (XP SP2) and updated all drivers (mother board, video, ...) without effect. The shop where I bought the PMDG 747 & MD11 can't help me ...Now I call you for your help .... Any idea are welcome.Yesterday, after reinstall FS 2004 and PMDG 747-400. No extra scene, no extra liveries ... the standard !Just the ugrade for FS91 + fsuipc 3.85 registred. That it.From KSEA, runway 34R. Whenever i move on the ground, everything work fine. After take off (± 10 sec) the noise begin. The same noise as a fax. I land to KSEA and once landed, the noise desapear.During the flight, when I select the external view, the sound come normal. I don't understand.Only with PMDG product. For info, the sound card is integrated with the mother board. Now my questions are :1° - If I buy a other sound card (as a SoundBlaster), is the problem will continue ? Because, giving ± 40€ for a sound card and the problem persist !...2° - Do you thing that Windows XP SP2 is the origin of the problem ? I could'nt change in windows 7 because lot of sceneries and old planes isn't compatible. But, the system would like install SP 3. What do you thing ? I saw on some forum that FS2004 doesn't work under SP3 !3° - My idea, is a material conflict with ... ???? what ? I don't know.Remark: I already read some topics about the sound problem on this forum. I tried the comments of all users (thanks for that) but without effect.Now. I come crazy. Thank you so much for your help or your ideas.Best regardsAndre LHoir

Andre,I wonder if you have a corrupt wind noise sound file maybe? I seem to recall having this issue with another addon aircraft in FS9 and sure enough, I ported in the wind noise from another addon aircraft and it fixed it. Can you re-download the installers? If that one file is corrupt, chances are others are as well. Also, may be a sound driver issue. Can you find updated drivers for your motherboard or even better, specifically for your sound chipset? Those are my suggestions. I hope you wouldn't have to spend 40 Euro on a sound card. Surely something cheaper could be had to do the trick.Adam
