December 20, 200322 yr I saw on Guru website the new Nvidia (beta) drivers 53.30 They have a paragraph that worries me before you download:"These ForceWare (previously known as Detonator) drivers my friends are Quadro FX 1100/3000 drivers that originate from Dell. The .inf has been to support all nvidia graphics cards yet need to be considered BETA ! Personally I strongly recommend not to use them on a gaming platform. Quadro driver are very specific and you'll likely loose something somewhere in the gaming process, history has learned that over and over."... "not to use them on gaming platform"Did anyone try them, what will they do to FS9 or LOMAC?RegardsT
December 20, 200322 yr I have used these drivers for the past week and can safely say that they do no harm on gaming platforms. Whatsoever. At the same time, there are no benefits over the 53.03 drivers that would warrant the `risk`, whatever that might be (the Quadro is only another Nvidia card, the unified driver process ensures that no harm can come from using them, just that no gains may be had either).XP users can simply roll back to the previous drivers anyway, or use System Restore so I don't get the caution and would encourage simmers to try it for themselves. YMMV, and all that.Allcott
