Getting ready to format main computer, few questions?

Featured Replies

My question is not on how to format but Flight Sim related. Like many of you I have played around with all the Nvidia drivers and tweak settings. It's just that time to do a clean install and I'd like to hear from someone who has similar specs like mine. My System:Asus A7N8X Deluxe Rev2 400FSBAMD 2.7 @ 2300 Ghz 200FSB G4 TI4400 128mbWD 80gb HDAudigy 2CH Yoke and PedsEtcAny way, I'm going to install WinXP Pro and I'm thinking of leaving SP1a off this time. The reason being, if I turn on FSAA, I get the FS2002/4 menu blur issue regardless of which drivers I use. I'm also looking for the best Nvidia drivers to install. I was thinking of the 30.82 or maybe to 40.xx series. What do you guy

Check out nForcerhq.comYou'll find everything you want to know about nForce2 drivers etc. I don't know about leaving XP SP1 out, patches usually serve a cause... There are some issues with the gameport i.e. Like you have to disable your Audigy2 gameport, and enable onboard one if required. Etc. etc. I run win2000 so couldn't tell for XP. But the 3.13 drivers do well with my Asus nForce2 rev2 setup. Check the BIOS. Upgrade if necessary. Do you run everything on one partition? Anyway, if this all sounds unfamiliar to you, go see a friend who know's how to set up a system. Or if you want to learn, visit the homepage mentioned at the top. That's the place you want to be with your NForce2 querries. Hope this helpedJaap de Groot
