It seems like a stupid place to select this option, but I found out the long way: You use the "options" drop-down list, then select "settings" then "weather". You'll find the winds aloft option there. I'd like to know how to de-select having the opening screen come up and instead, go straight to the default flight. Also those flying tips are irritating, even with that option de-selcted. Happy landings.

You have to exercise the option to download winds aloft, as stated.The opening window can be optioned out in the menu options, ditto the flying tips. Once gone, they stay gone. So if you're having trouble with getting the options to `stick`, check the fs9.cfg isn't `read only`.Allcott
