Keystrokes being captured when trying to type in MP chat

Featured Replies

When in MP chat, some keystrokes seem to be being intercepted by the 737, and are not passed to the text input line, when typing in MP chat window. Typically SHIFT L, SHIFT E, SHIFT G, and SHIFT H. Very occasionaly, they do get passed through. When there is FOCUS on the TEXT Chat window input window, ALL keystrokes should pass to that input window. ( even if intercepted for other 737 purposes first) There must be some C++ code intercepting keystrokes.. it needs to be looked at !! Geoff

Other Keys, such a "G" are also being captured by the 737 when in FSX Multiplayer, and those keys are NOT being send to the TEXT CHAT Window. The normal operation should be, when in Multiplayer, and "FOCUS" is on the Chat Box "text input" window, ALL keyboard keystrokes should ONLY be sent to that "Text input" window. When "focus" is NOT on the "text input" window, then "normal" or "PMDG" processing of keyboard input should occur. The current resulting inability not to be able to type numerous Keyboard Character into the FSX Multiplayer Chat window, severely limits the ability for the PMDG 737 to function in a FSX MP session (or in Shared Cockpit on Vatsim / IVAO ) ======This issue is very easy to reproduce, and once verified, the solution should be equally easy to impliment. Note: Detecting that you are IN MULTIPLAYER will require "thinking WITHIN the box" -- literally :( Geoff
