Captain Sim C-130? Is it?

Featured Replies

I took a look at the Captain Sim C-130 listed on the front page. No disrespect, and can't post on their forum, but are they sure it's a C-130? I fly C-130's myself and haven't seen any that look anywhere close to what Captain Sim is offering. Not to say the Brits don't have a C-130 with the type of panel that Captain Sim is building.Any thoughts? If I didn't fly 'em myself I probably wouldn't be asking, but I hope people don't think that real-world C-130's look like this.

Hmmm, looks like it's based off of an Austrian C-130 maybe?BUT, this is the great thing about the C-130 and flight simming in general. The huge amount of variation in things.Would be nice if they modeled an American -E or -H model C-130.

Jep I guess it's just based on one specific variant - I mean there are countless C-130s out there, aren't there.Still, there's a fairly good Australian C-130 in the avsim library, and I don't remember it having such a cockpit.-Daniel

Since they claim it was developed with official assistance by the RAF, how about a british one? Do they have any with this cockpit?- Oyvind

I did a little research (funny what you can find out with just a little looking) and Captain Sim says their C-130 is based off of the UK C-130K and looks like it is model, almost tail number specific and to me looks pretty obscure. BUT, not to say they won't make an -E/H model either.

CS are modelling this on is a C130 variant from RAF Lyneham in the UK.
