Autobrakes will bring the a/c to a stop if you don't use manual braking during the rollout. By manually hitting the brakes, the autobrakes disengage, (you get the warning light over the autobrake selecor), but the selector itself does not click back to OFF. This is correct. You have to manually select OFF.
