Using HUD causes FSX to hang on exit?

I have not confirmed this after a flight, but I can repeat this every time while sitting on the runway. Plane: Delta 737-800Airport: KDTW (Active Runway)Wx: Cloudy / Light WindTime: Summer 1pm Flight loads sitting on the active runway... On the Delta I have the HUD enabled. In the test I would look around the VC, outside views, wing vies, throttle up, reveresers on, flaps, make a flight plan, mess with lights, etc... After that, I would hit ESC, then End Flight. Every time I would get the FSX menu, then I could exit FSX normally. While doing the same tests, if at any time I would click the hotspot to make the HUD visible, the following would happen after ending the flight. The FSX menu window will be in the lower right and say "No Title". I would then have to force close FSX. Sometimes FSX would just force close on it own. It did not matter if I just opened the HUD for a quick second, or left it open for a long time. I will test a complete flight later without using the HUD to see if I can close FSX normally after the flight.
