New Win 7-64 Installation

Featured Replies

Hi, and thanks for a great add-on. I just bouhgt a new system (mainly because of this airplane) with Win 7 64bit as recomended. I only get a dead "moc up" plane after installaton with no clickspots at all. Mouse pointer is black and unresponsive in all areas. No gauges, displays, no nothing. Not even the the hud is there to flip down. I´ve tampered with everything for hours now( i,e applying writeable files in FSX ´cause all were read only in properties). It seems I cannot make them remain writeable after removing the tick in the box that says "read only". Am I missing something here. Please advise. I want to get out there again flying this bird. And yes, I´ve clicked yes on all prompts to do so in installation procedure. Further more, I get no question about serial key either. FSX remains stable and running. Regards/Stefan Lindestad

Oops! I missed the SP2 installation, and now it works. Thank you very much! All that remains now is to get the fps to a reasonable level. My specs are: AMD phenom II X6 processor 2,8 GHz, 64 bit win 7, 8 Gb RAM, AMD (ATI) Radeon HD 6950 2 GB. This should make FSX run like Niagara falls, but when in VC the fps are between 13 and 20. External limiter set to 30 and in FSX unlimited, tweaked cfg by Bojotes site. In default a/c as i.e the Extra I get up to 70 fps in outside view?! Anyone with radeoncard who can enlighten me to proper settings? Regards/Stefan

I guess I sorted the graphics problem out my self. Simply removed and reisntalled graphics driver and ran FSx whithout external fps limiter.WoW! It rocks. Over 30 fps in VC now :-)
