January 4, 200422 yr I just completed a flight from KSBN to KBHB in Milton's Commander.I posted about this once before but a solution still escapes me. Using FS Meteo, the prevailing winds provided a generally westerly flow, 250 degrees at 40 to 50 knots. The problem is that as I approached station boundaries, I experienced a wind shear that just about ripped the wings off. Altitude variances of about 700 feet, airspeed changes from 80 knts to 230 knts, heading swings in excess of seventy knots...While it didn't happen this flight, in prior flights, it terminated abruptly with 'aircraft overstressed'.FSUIPC is set to smooth wind changes 1 knot/1 degree every 240 seconds but it didn't have any effect at all.Is there a solution for this? Would Active Sky solve this or is it inherent to Flight Sim? Are there any solutions available.BobL
January 4, 200422 yr Bob, while I can't help you with the wx problem, I can send you a new Commander. :-)Look for a new AC500 soon.Milton
January 4, 200422 yr Oh , great ... The Shrike...I took my AMEL training in that airplane. There's a soft spot in my heart for that aircraft...BobL
