August 25, 201114 yr A lot of the UDP flooding issues were corrected in HOTFIX #3. Well done PMDG. But there is some remaining major UDP Flooding mechanisms, so now might be the time to ensure that both PMDG & users are aware of it. (Especilaly those who are using Simconnect on their SIM, for other purposes) As this particular UPD flooding has not yet been mentioned on the forum, it should be put on record, so that it can be included in any list of BUGS, for consideration to be fixed. KIS:Basically, in FSX multiplayer, the 737NGX floods the MP server with "Delete Simobject" packets at gauge update rates.Ref "Bucket" object - Ground Terrain Avoidance system ?. This flooding continues, even when the "Terrain avoidance system" is turned off. What is strange is that any "CREATE OBJECT" for these "delet Objects"are NOT flooding UDP packets, as one might expect. ( A fortunate simconnect error maybe). As an "outsider", one does not know WHY the 737NGX is needing to do this., All one can do is SEE it happening to the FSX server, and be somewaht concerned. Hopefully, once the ACTIVATION issues are resolved, this can be addressed, and some way found to stop this particular HIGH RATE, UDP flooding.
