August 31, 201114 yr Hello Folks, I have some questions about Historical weather data in ASE. This question relates to Online Historical Data. If I select a GMT hour for a particular date, does the weather then 'play back' the METARs until the flight finishes? So for example, if I select 29 August 2011 GMT 0100 to start and my flight is for 3 hours, will the weather at the destination be what ever it was at GMT 0300? I have in the past been using the Offline Static Data and, using the example above, would have selected "Multiple Dates/Times" and then downloaded 29 August 2011 0100; 29 August 2011 0200; 29 August 2011 0300 and 29 August 0400 (in case of any holding instructions...). I really want to clarify if the way I have been obtaining my historical weather data is the correct way or whether there is a quicker way of obtaining the METAR I want. It may or may not be relevant, but I have downloaded SP3. Regards, Nick
August 31, 201114 yr Hi Nick, Your first example is correct and the quickest way. Just note that in your example the destination would be 0400!
August 31, 201114 yr Author Hi Jim, Thank you very much for your prompt response. Yes, maths was never my strongest subject. I mucked it up in both paragraphs! It's furtunate then that I command an aircraft in the fs9 world only. Thanks again. Nick
