January 10, 200422 yr Is there a quick fix to allow the com radio to increment in smaller numbers? I'm trying to tune an ATIS (135.98, I believe) but the radio tuning increments are too high. I can get 136 and 135.97 but not 135.98. Thx.billg
January 10, 200422 yr Where have you found an ATIS on 135.98? I think that the real world increments on the com radios is 25 kHz, in other words 135.95, 135.975 (which MS displays as 135.97), then 136.00. Could your chart have a typo? R-
January 10, 200422 yr Ron, LIRN (Naples) shows on FS Navigator as having an ATIS of 135.98. Maybe that's the problem, argh...thx,billEDIT: now that you mention it, I did an ILS approach into LIRN and noticed that I wasn't aligned properly so switched to VFR. Maybe they're all messed up. I installed the Naples photoreal scenery and have rebuilt the FS Nav database since, so a few things I can check. Thx again for the heads up....
January 11, 200422 yr Another thing to consider (although I doubt it's the case here) is that Europe is slowing adopted the new 8.33MHz frequency spacing standard. AFAIK there are only a couple of places using it now. I also think that the FS radios can use these, but only when tuned using the ATC menu, not the dials. Something to check on, but it could just be a data error on the chart.
