January 16, 200422 yr HiJust been on the Visual Flights forum and found this amazing thread of posts, here is some text from the first post on this subject, "And then,I don't know why, I pressed F9 and switched in FS Nav and docked it down in the bottom Rt. corner.I had quite a shock to see that my frame rate was now ranging from 50 to 70 FPS in all views and fluctuating very little. The jerking had also gone.Switching off FS Nav takes it back to the previous situation. So this works great for me but as I say I can't understand why ... I would appreciate any views".you may want to read some more atwww.visualflight.co.uk/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=993Wycliffe
January 16, 200422 yr Seems simple enough to me - FSNav has the focus, FS now runs in 2d mode = fps goes through the roof. Bet this only works when the FS window is in windowed mode, not full screen. In fact I don't need to bet, I tried this with my system and noted not a single change. But then I run FS in full screen mode at 1600x1200x32 on a 21" Monitor, switching between FS and FSNav using the F9 key but never having both up on screen at the same time.Allcott
