Getting Rid Of Brake Messages For Good!!

Featured Replies

I cannot remember the authors name for the following info, but I thank them! This is the only method that has worked for my CF9 install. ResHack did the trick in helping me change "Brakes" to "B", "Parking Brakes etc" to "PB", and "Differential Brakes" to "DB", Or erase the text all together. I like to know that my equipment (rudder pedals and keyboard) are functioning correctly with the "not as offensive" reduced popup tags. Thanks for the tip!ResHackhttp://www.users.on.net/johnson/resourcehacker/What I did1. Saved the original copy of FS9's language.dll to a safe place2. Opened copy of language.dll with ResHack (File/Open/ then select file3. Open Folder 'String Table' by clicking on + sign4. Scroll to Folder '2337', open folder(click on + sign) and click on 10335. Change string 37377, from "Brakes" to "B"6. Change string 37378, from "Parking Brakes...press . to disengage" to "PB"7. Close folder8. Scroll to Folder 2344, open as above9. change stringtable line 37494, from "Differential Brakes" to "DB"10. Close folder11. File /Save12. Close and recompile if asked.

That is a good little tweak!
