Now here's something totally different...When I change the surface texture on a runway using AFCAD, I lose the brakes on my aircraft! The brakes work on the taxiways, but not on the runways! Has this happened to anyone else or am I forgetting to take my medication?Thanks...

Answered my own question...The surface I was changing to was "snow"...Apparently brakes don't work so well on snow! I changed the surface to gravel, concrete, and tarmac, and the brakes work on all three surfaces! Live and learn, I guess...

You're lucky it was only a simulator. At an airport near me, KHYA, a pilot who was landing a biz jet wasn't given any warning about ice on the runway. He went off the end of the runway, took out the approach lights, thru a chain link fence, crossed a very busy road, and came to a stop in the parking lot of a shopping center. Couldn't believe my eyes whan I saw this jet parked in the Staples parking lot! BTW, no serious injuries.David
