Texture File - need replacemnet textures !!!

Featured Replies

Dear All,I have made a complete mess-up with my Texture file, I have been like most people experimenting with various cloud textures, but unfortunately I accidentally deleted all my back-up copies of the original textures for the cloud .bmp's !!Where can I get the orginial textures from as now I am having a compelte nightmare with the visibility as it appears all blocky, I have read various other postings regarding the vis layer etc.All I require is the original default files.- Also once I have found the orinigal textures can I just copy them from the CD straight into my FS directory and overwrite ? or will this cause any problems with other addons etc. ?I do not really want to do a complete re-instal of FS9, but maybe it would be the easyist way to amend my errors ???Await your replies ThanksPHIL

Hello Phil, You will find the textures on one of the 4 discs that came with the simulator on. They are in a zipped folder, just unpack them into the mail fs9 directory and everthing should be fine. When im experimenting I make back up of the complete textures folder and just rename it. I have founf the Blue Sphere textures the very best of all for fs9. These work well and are available from Avsim.RegardsDavid Bowen Cyber Air 062.
