Antialiasing settings Nvidia

Featured Replies

Hello all, Could anyone help me. I use FS 2002 and 2004. On flight simulator 2002 if I set my Antialiasing to any other setting than Application controlled I get a pink panel on the plane I am flying. This has been an ongoing problem for a while now, after many re-installs it remains the same. I am using a Gainward FX5600 256 mb's DDR Nvidia card with 1.5 gb's of system ram and a 2.2 Athlon xp.Fs2004 runs great.Does anyone have an answer or even a solution to this problem.RegardsDavid BowenCyber Air 062.

That's an interesting problem, David. I can't say that I've ever encountered it though. I also run FS2002 (Pro version -- I do not have FS2004). My video card is an nVidia 5700 Ultra with the 50.xx drivers that came with the card. I run my AA through the card at 2x and turn it off within the sim itself..... seems to work just fine that way.Be sure to get up-to-date drivers for your card. Are you running in 16 bit or 32 bit color within the sim? I run 32 bit in the sim as well as my desktop settings. These are the only suggestions I can come up with right now. Sorry I can't be more help. Maybe someone else will have better advice.Good luck-Lindy :-rotor:-wave

DavidThis is something I experienced with FS2k2 a couple of times way back about 18 months or more ago- I never found out the exact cause but the problem disappeared after I updated the NVidia drivers. I think back when it happened the update was to the 44.03 drivers - but it may have been the one before that. This was with WinME and my old Geforce MX card.Try the 52.16 drivers( not quite the latest but IMHO better than the 53.03 version)Dave

Hi Guys, Thnaks for the reply. I have been working on this for quite sometime and luckily i thought of something tonight which actually solved it!! It was the speed setting of my AGP port from within the bios. Strange but true. Now I can set the AA on any setting and it works fine. Oh by the way i changed the bios setting from Auto to x8 it also works fine on x4.BEST regardsDavid Bowen.
