Hello Bob,I would like to offer a suggestion, which is to have a look at my 'FS2004 and WinXP Optimization Guide v2' found here...http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...topic_id=173789I do not know for sure how to cure the shimmering. What setting do you have your 'Mipmap' slider set to?As for the stutters, well.. it may be a little hard to determine exactly why you get them, but I get a little bit of slow fps myself when I am in/over a large city and/or at complex airports. There what some(many?) folks consider to be an issue with Autogen in FS2004. What is your Autogen slider set to? And lastly, I have my clouds set pretty high but not all sliders are full right for them. In other words, this may depend on the settings you are using in FS2004, and where you are in the sim. Please have a look at my guide and make sure to have a look at where I talk about setting your AGP Aperture size to 256.Reagrds,Jim
