Hello HerwigThis happened to me and others in the past and was discussed on the forum. Some add-on aircraft packages contain outdated effects files that cause this problem if they are allowed to overwrite the default files when installing the aircraft.The two files in question, in the "effects" folder of your FS9 installation, are:fx_contrail_l.fxfx_contrial_s.fxThs solution is to find the original files (dated 14 May 2003) on your FS9 CDs and copy them in place of the defective files. When this happened to me the first time, I made extra copies of the original files and left them in a folder in my effects file, because I knew it would happen again (and it did, a couple of days ago, when I installed a new Tupolev!).All the best,Wang
