March 5, 200422 yr FS9 works as good as can be expected however I find I must execute FS9 twice to make it operate properly! Let me explain, When I "open" FS9 the first time and get to the general "select - create etc" flight menu, I must then "exit" Fs9 right then and execute FS9 a 2nd time to make it run properly!Let me clear that mouthfull up!On the first try opening Fs9, if I "select" a flight - I will get a constantly blinking hourglass as my plane sits on the runway and the sim does not work right at this point. Also, I run 2 monitors off an ATI 9600 XT, and if I go to Setting/Display/Hardware, the list of resolutions for the primary monitor are gone! Disappeared! The "resolution - boxis totally blank. (The resolutions do appear however for the 2ndary monitor)Now, if I exit out of FS9 and then re-execute FS9 for the 2nd time... the sim works great! No hourglass blinking. All Display/hardware resolutions re-appear 100% for the primary monitor and are functionalI have DX9B and the latest ATI's 9600 drivers (so don't go there.) I have done fresh installs, clean reinstalls of Fs9 - everything, including all drivers and this problem persists. Can anyone point me to the culprit? Is it FS9 or perhaps it is a windows file missing or something? To repeat if I open FS9 to its main menu, exit out, and then re-open FS9 the 2nd time, it works just great! My guess is that FS9 upon the exit, "picks" up something which then makes it work OK when I open it up the 2nd time.Help appreciated!Kosmo007
March 6, 200422 yr Hey. I don't get this kinda Problem but i think I know why you get this. Im not sure weather is was with all ATI graphics cards or just a specific one but i heard that there were problems in flight simulate with an ATI I myself have a G-Force FX 5200 so I don't get this Kinda off problem. What you might want to try and do is look in a Hardware Forum or Download a new driver that somtimes clears things up. Konrad,Good Luck
