January 26, 200422 yr Hi, I tried to set from the nvidia setting the AA and the AF to fixed values, say 4X for AA and 4X for AF.Then I start FS 2004 , I can see the difference, it looks way better, but here is the problem, I seem to have something similar to a CTD!!!Now if I set those parameters as application controlled, FS2004 seem to be a bit more stable. Now I'm a bit desperate about this as I'm never sure whether I'll experience a crash or no. Could it be faulty card, card overheating (Anyone using a shuttle having similar issues), faulty RAM? I don't know what it is, but I'm ready to hear any suggestions!!!!Oh, I have the latest drivers 53.03 too.RegardsFrancois
January 27, 200422 yr Are you overclocking your card ??If so, you might have pushed it a bit far so it may overheat !Happened to me a few times before :-
January 27, 200422 yr Hi,CTD= Crash to Desktop. No I haven't overclocked my card. I don't think it would be overheating as I don't seem to hear the fan running full blast. I tried to switch them on permanently via the BIOS, and there is not mistake, you know when they are going full blast. The other thing that would go against overheating as well is that the whole system reports values which are well below maximum temp, they are even pretty normal, around 50 deg and it's not changing after a few hours of use.I still believe it may be a faulty card though, but I just can't prove it.Regards,Francois
