Aircraft Carrier games?

Featured Replies

hi there, does anybody know a good and realistic aircraft carrier game?i love these starts from the catapult... and would like to have an alternative flightsim to fs2004thx and regards, phil

In Lock On-Modern Air Combat you can launch and recover the Su-33 from the Admiral Kusnetchev (sp). My guess is that while the F/A-18 is not currently flyable, it will be sometime soon with an upgrade, as that seems to be the single-most clamored for plane to fly! Check out this link for the homepage:http://lo-mac.com/Check out the forums- there's a sticky in the forums of screen shots, like 44 pages! And 56k'ers beware! You'll find lots of carrier landing screenshots!Jonathan

-Lo-mac-Fs2002, with the carrier addons, and the airrestor addon give us cables and a catapult-X-plane-USNF and old school game. I remember at the time it was the best, i cant guess how it would stand up to todays standards

Hi,you could try out Jane's F/A-18, you get to fly the "E" version. Graphics should be alright, there's only a limited area to fly though (like most combat sims). It offers a clickable 3d cockpit (I think no 2d cockpit) ... talk about "ahead of the time" ;)USNF was pretty cool, but not realistic. -Daniel

I'll second the vote on F/A-18. The game was good enough that I could actually land on the CV ;) Excellent ATC from the CV to get you lined up and landed.Think it will run you about $5 in the bargain bin. It was the FS9 of combat sims, being the first 100% 3D cockpit, killing everyone's machines of the day.Word of warning, the installer is hooked to Windows 98, so you need to brute force the install.
