Hi. I'm just getting ready to install FS9 on my new computer. I was wondering what are the reasons for installing FSUIPC. Is it necessary to help the basic sim run better or only needed for certain addons?Thanks for your help.

FSUIPC allows certain addon programs to work with FS9.You dont have to have a registered version for the basic functions such as online flying where FSUIPC allow Squawkbox ,Servinfo etc to work,but to access the more exotic capabilities you need a registered (payware) version.This allows you to alter/adjust many things within FS that would not normally be availabe to alter.In a nutshell - if you're going to fly online you need it - either registered(pay) or unregistered(free).Dave
